Fiber optic connector

FC/PC connectors

The screwed way of connecting two FC type connectors gives very stable connection, which does not lose its parameters under the influence of touch or handling. Used for single mode and multimode transmission. Currently, reflective technique of PC contact with fiber front surfaces allows to obtain the lowest possible loss on optical connector, at the same time maintaining high level of back reflection. In this type of connectors, back loss is no less than 40 dB. Maintaining such parameters requires high precision of the fiber front, its polishing and maintaining proper curvature of ferrule surrounding the fiber.
