The Qoltec branded proximity reader plays a key role in the process of identifying individual users. Each person, before gaining access to a security area, is verified by the access control reader with an identifier in the form of a proximity card or key fob, restricting access to buildings or rooms only to authorised persons, i.e. holders of a so-called TAG. This solution eliminates the need for traditional keys or access codes, which can be easily copied or made available to unauthorised persons. It supports both proximity cards and key fobs operating at frequencies of 125kHz and 13.56MHz.

The Qoltec brand proximity reader offers a wide range of capabilities and functions, providing not only security but also convenience. Its ability to program up to 3000 users makes it ideal not only for large corporations, offices or industrial plants, but also for public facilities such as swimming pools, gyms, car parks or libraries. The device has a built-in LED and an audible signal. When the card is read and the user is identified, the LED turns green and the device emits a single beep to confirm successful access. It has a lock mechanism after 10 unsuccessful access attempts in one minute, the reader will automatically lock for a period of 10 minutes.
